North Carolina Maritime Museum volunteers are renowned for their hospitality and helpfulness. They work at the museum's information desk, serve as interpreters at displays and as guides for school and other groups, do restoration and construction work in the museum's Watercraft Center and ship model shop, serve on the Board of the Friends of the Museum, assist with the Cape Lookout Studies and Junior Sailing Programs, maintain the reference library, perform clerical duties and help at special events and programs.
