Island Ferry Adventures is located at 610 Front Street on the Beaufort waterfront across from the Inlet Inn. This passenger ferry service operates approximately from late March to mid-October, seven days a week beginning at 9 AM daily, weather permitting, with departures to Shackleford Banks, Carrot Island, Sand Dollar Island and Bird Shoals. The 1-1/4 hour "stay on the boat" Horse and Waterfront Cruise departs at 10 AM and at 1:15 PM. The 1-1/2 hour Surf and Turf cruise departs at 11:30 AM and at 2:45 PM. On this trip, passengers stay on the boat for one hour and then spend 30 minutes on Shackleford Banks. These two scenic tours operate approximately from June through August. Private charters are also available. Reservations are highly recommended during June, July, and August for all trips.
