The Cedars Inn is just what you're looking for if you want to wake up to the sea breeze, watch the brilliant sun set on the ocean, or simply enjoy the porch view of dolphins and wild horses. Built in 1768 by William Borden to welcome weary sea captains on their voyages, the two-story house located in the historic district of Beaufort, NC, is filled with antiques. Guests may select from any of the six rooms which offer pleasing decor and the convenience of private baths. If you are bringing along the kids, ask about The Crew’s Quarters room with built-in single bunk beds. The Carolina Cottage, which can accommodate pets, has a separate porch and entrance, with a lovely sitting room, king-sized bed, and a jacuzzi in the private bathroom. The Cedars Inn Restaurant on location offers a dinner menu for fine dining in a charming and relaxed atmosphere. Award-winning chef, Steve Smid, prepares local seafood and a variety of exquisite dishes including steak, lamb, and duck with the freshest ingredients for an unforgettable dinner.  Special event lunches may be scheduled. The restaurant, open Monday through Saturday from 5:00 P.M. until closing, is open to the public, as well as to the Cedars Inn guests.
