May 15 & 16, 2020  Music flows along Taylor's Creek and through downtown Beaufort each year during this music festival. Multiple stages are set up throughout town, and a variety of music is offered, with something sure to suit the ears of all ages. On Saturday, the Beaufort Historic Site features a family fun area that showcases performers and all kinds of fun activities for the kids. Two other events of interest during this weekend are the Beaufort Road Race and the Beaufort Sister Cities Mural Competition. In 2011 for the first time, the Fred Bailey Beaufort Music Festival college scholarship of $1,000 was awarded to a local graduating high school senior. Additionally, a portion of the funds raised was donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Carteret County. This is a free community event, and volunteers work year-round to make it unforgettable.
