April 25, 2020 This heritage event celebrates the history of Portsmouth Village on the Core Banks and is usually celebrated on even-numbered years. Now a Historic District in Cape Lookout National Seashore, Portsmouth Village is just south of Ocracoke Inlet. Access is by boat only. Everyone from residents to first timers are invited. In years past about 500 friends and descendants of island residents have gathered for the old-fashioned church homecoming and dinner on the grounds. Call for details and the latest information.
